玉川高島屋ショッピングセンター（運営：東神開発株式会社／所在地：東京都世田谷区／以下、玉川高島屋S・C）は、3月20日(木・祝)より南館アトリウムガーデンのガーデンテラスを開放し、インパクトとデザイン性のある6メートル四方の大型LEDキューブをはじめとする計3台を新設し、リニューアルいたします。
今回のリニューアルでは、株式会社ノイズが全体の設計を担当し、既存のルーバーを撤去することで、閉ざされていたアトリウム空間を街に開放し、二子玉川駅を挟む街の東西をつなげる玉川高島屋S・C全体のハブとしての役割を担います。アトリウムガーデン内の長い階段には「展望ゲート」を設け、街に開かれた空間を演出しています。LEDキューブは南館のファサードに設置され、アート作品や季節を感じられる映像などを放映することで、木漏れ日のような光で満たされた明るい空間へと変化させ、アトリウムガーデンに賑わいと開放感を創出します。
玉川高島屋S・Cのファサードを改修するにあたっては、まずは既存のファサードを取り外して立体庭園を街に開放し、施設内部のアクティブな雰囲気やコンテンツを街と再接続することを意識しました。さらに、浮遊する巨大なLEDキューブを挿入することで玉川通り沿いの街路空間に焦点をつくり、駅側に匹敵するインパクトある街の顔と、街の探索を誘発する新しいゲートの役割を加えています。朝昼夜それぞれに異なる雰囲気や表情を演出し、新しい刺激や情報と、多様な居場所や楽しげな移動体験を提供する立体的な公園を、街のワクワクを増幅させるデバイスとしてリデザインしています。

Tamagawa Takashimaya Shopping Center (operated by Toshin Development Co. The new LED display will be renewed with three new units, including a large 6-meter square LED cube with impact and design.
For the second renewal, Noise Inc. was in charge of the overall design. By removing the existing louvers, the atrium space, which had been closed off, will be opened up to the city and serve as a hub for the entire Tamagawa Takashimaya S・C, connecting the east and west sides of the city across Futakotamagawa Station. The long staircase in the atrium garden has an “observation gate” to create a space open to the city, and LED cubes are installed on the facade of the south building to transform the atrium garden into a bright space filled with light like sunlight filtering through trees by showing artwork and seasonal images. The LED cubes will create a sense of liveliness and openness in the atrium garden.
In renovating the facade of the Tamagawa Takashimaya S・C, we first removed the existing facade to open the multi-story garden to the city, with the intention of reconnecting the active atmosphere and content inside the facility with the city. Furthermore, we created a focal point in the street space along Tamagawa-dori by inserting a giant floating LED cube, adding an impactful face to the city comparable to that of the station side and a new gate role to induce exploration of the city. We are redesigning the three-dimensional park as a device to amplify the excitement of the city, creating different atmospheres and expressions for morning, noon, and night, and providing new stimulation and information, as well as diverse places to be and enjoyable mobility experiences.
