BAOBAO ISSEY MIYAKE 2017 Popup Store

BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKEポップアップイベントのための店舗内装計画。デザインテーマは「UNDERWATER」。夏季の開催にあわせ、水の中にいるような涼やかな空間をイメージした。透明感の表現として素材にビニールシートとアクリル板を採用。本来、構造としては弱い素材が集まることで硬い構造が生まれ、什器としての機能を成立させた。素材と照明計画により生じる屈折光が水中にいるようなゆらぎを一層引き立てている。

Store interior design plan for BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE pop-up event. The design theme is “UNDERWATER,” aiming to create a cool and refreshing space reminiscent of being underwater, in line with the summer season. To convey transparency, vinyl sheets and acrylic panels are utilized as materials. Although inherently weak, the combination of these materials results in a sturdy structure, fulfilling its function as fixtures. The refraction of light generated by the materials and lighting plan further enhances the wavering effect akin to being underwater.
