BOOK OF TONGUE

紙の専門商社竹尾が主催する、TAKEO PAPER SHOW “Subtleに出展したシリーズ作品のひとつ。この作品「BOOK OF TONGUE」は、冊子上に綴じられた紙の束の内側を「コ」の字状に切り抜き、舌のようにページが飛び出すような本になっている。地層のような構造を持った本は、曲線で美しい立体的な造形性を帯びながら、独特の渋さを持つ色の構成を印象付けている。

The series work exhibited at TAKEO PAPER SHOW “Subtle,” organized by the paper specialist company TAKEO CO., LTD., includes “BOOK OF TONGUE.” In this piece, the inner bundle of paper bound within a booklet is cut in a “co”-like shape, allowing pages to protrude like a tongue. With a structure resembling layers of earth, the book exhibits a beautiful three-dimensional form with curved lines, while also impressing with its unique subdued color composition.
