PAPER REEF

紙の専門商社竹尾が主催する、TAKEO PAPER SHOW “Subtleに出展したシリーズ作品のひとつ。この作品「PAPER REEF」ではサンゴ礁の生成過程を切り取ったような、有機的な多面体を表現している。レーザーカッターによって、細やかに入れられた切り込みにより、不定形に伸縮する。風光の柔らかな質感により、有機的なテクスチャーが得られる。

For this project, noiz expressed the paper’s soft texture not as a flat paper, but but as precies polyhedrons like the generating process of coral reef. By means of tiny cuts made by a laser cutter, the forms expand and contract irregularly. Softness provides new approach to obtaining an organic texture.
